The Nordic countries have long been an inexhaustible source of vocal music with fantastic richness and powerful emotions. During the 23rd a cappella Festival Leipzig, specially arranged songs from Finland and beyond will be performed by the group Kuvaja. Formed in Helsinki in 2017, the quintet are united by their belief in the healing power of music. In their recitals, they aim to create personal, heart-warming sounds and unforgettable, intimate moments for the audience. Consequently, the name of the programme ‘Syli’ reflects the ‘safe womb’ conjured up by Kuvaja’s music. So let’s cuddle up amid the heartfelt sounds of a new Finnish group on the a cappella horizon as they make their German debut.
* Concessions are available for children, full-time students, apprentices, trainees, the unemployed, volunteers in the Federal Volunteer Service, people with severe disabilities, and Leipzig Pass holders (proof required).
